I am so disappointed in the fragrance industry for basically destroying two of my favorite scents I wore in times past: Chloe by Karl Lagerfeld back in the 70s and Cabotine in the 90s (my signature scent) and Tatiana (late 70s) . I ordered Cabotine from two different vendors and had to send them back becasue of the HORRID smell. No trace of the scent I remembered. Same result with Chloe and Tatiana. I understand that is due to not using the raw ingredients from animals, etc. but can't they replicate the originals some other way? I miss those scents!
I have a container perfumed dusting powder of Chloe I purchased about 20 years ago and I won't throw it out because I take a whiff of it every now and then to enjoy that sublime fragrance. I don't use powders so I just enjoy the scent.
Maybe I should petition Karl Lagerfeld...
