I desperately need to have my brows done! I'd found a great lady in Orlando, then she switched salons and I couldn't find her. Now that I'm in St.
Pete, I have no idea where to go.

Now that my bangs cover my eyebrows I generally ignore them. I have a pretty good shape to them naturally, just a few stray hairs in the middle that I tweeze
occasionally. They did look good a little thinner when my hair was off my face, but now I don't have to bother.

I tweeze my eyebrows. I used to go to a threading place but haven's been to one over a year since we moved. I desperately need to find a place close by. I
haven't seen a kiosk in the mall yet. I'm not sure if I would be comfortable having someone work on my eyebrows while shoppers are walking by.

Daena--I almost spit out my coffee when I read "antennae." I definitely have antennae. exactly ONE of my eyebrow hairs can grow to a rather
impressive, if not horrifying, legnth. I hunt for that sucker constantly. (let's not get started on my Random Stray Left Elbow Hair, still not sure how
or when I sprouted that lil' sucker).

Dee-You're on retin-a, right? That's probally why your skin peeled/ripped off. I think another poster mentioned this on another page and I'll
second it. It happened to me before and it hurt like a mother. Even though I can't stand threading, I've got to say it did not irritate my skin like
waxing...and no missing skin from it either!

I get mine threaded every couple of months and just tweeze them in between myself. Luckily, I leave in LA where there are a lot of places to get your brows
threaded!

Karen, I'm in NY. No, not the cosmopolitan NYC. Think more along the lines of Rust Belt.
Xenia, I can see your point partially. I did have some lousy waxers in my time who took too much brow off, but when I found my girl who waxes the large areas and tweezes the more intricate areas, I've never felt the need to see regrowth again. But if you've had a bad brow wax, I suppose it would be pretty bad if the brows didn't grow back. It's all about finding someone who's excellent and can figure out the right shape for your face. I felt like a new woman when I walked out of her place for the first time.

I found my girl who waxes the large areas and tweezes the more intricate areas,
that's exactly what a brow designer should be doing.. shouldn't shape with wax..that's where a lot of mistakes are made |
