Before I bite the bullet and have them waxed again, what is everyone doing with
theirs?

I am in dire need for something for my soon to be unibrow. The lady who was threading mine moved, and pretty soon I am going to have one large eyebrow that
will cross over from one side of my head to the other. Do you wax, thread, pluck or shave your brows? I had mine waxed a few times and was burnt so bad by the
wax that I had scabs after it. Also I was at a shop one day and heard the girl doing the wax for some poor girl go...........ooops! OMG I am so sorry (Not a
sound you want to hear while someone is waxing your brows) yup, she ripped off half the girls brow.

Oh man. What do you say to your client after you just ripped off half her brow? Oy.
I get mine professionally tweezed. More precise and MUCH less irritating than waxing, though it takes longer. I go every 3 weeks.

I tweeze. Every day I'm looking for strays in the magnifying mirror. I guess I do OK with it because I always get compliments from MAs on them and comments
about how great my arches are. Wax scares me. I've had it done, but I always worried about a mishap like being burned or losing part of my brow or some
lashes. I wouldn't put wax anywhere near my eyes myself either.

I go every two weeks and have them tweezed and now I have them tinted.
I love having perfectly groomed brows. I don't have my brow guy wax at all. He only tweezes them. I have a standing appointment.

I have mine done at an Anastasia counter twice a year and do the upkeep myself. I love the shape they give me and the stencil makes filling them in easy.

I pluck myself and get them waxed 1-2 times a year. I don't know anyone good around here anymore so it's been a while since I've had them waxed.
A cute co-worker came up to me Friday all pleased with herself. She had had a pedicure, got some pink and white gel nails and had her brows waxed. Ooh they were too short, too thin and not shaped well. But she was happy so that's all that matter. She's cute as a bug anyway but man do I want to hold her down and fill in her brows.

I have the crappiest eyebrows. I wish I HAD enough brow-hair to wax. As it is, I only pluck one or two hairs that grow too low on my lid and that's it.
Even when I dye them dark, they're barely visible. And to make matters even more lovely -- I don't have many brow hairs but each one is LONG. Like
antennae. So sometimes I actually have to cut them. It's ridiculous and i hate them so much. I'm so jealous of you ladies who have nice, densely
populated brows.

I was a tweezer for years and years. (Gotta love the thin brow 90's.) And I actually took too much off the inner corner of my arch once. I then realized
I needed a more objective view and started getting them waxed. It is so hard for me to trust someone with them though! I have been trying to grow back my
over tweezing corner for a really long time. The girl I was working with at my salon to reshape them and get them symetrical recently left the salon. So,
I'm going to try the place where my friend goes, which does threading. But hopefully, I'll get someone I can consistently see again.

I get mine waxed about once a month and tweeze in between. I wish I had an Anastasia counter nearby.

I have mine waxed every 6 weeks. The woman who does them is wonderful-she does them freehand, tweezing the strays and trimming those wiry hairs. She uses a
heated wax that does not require any strip to be put on. I get complements on them.

I tweeze and trim mine-I don't trust anyone enough to do it, and I am petrified of them possibly making them thin or making the arch too high-I don't
want to look like I am perpetually surprised all day long! I like a nice full brow with a mild arch.

wax?!
I've never had my eyebrows waxed...tweezer only. wielded by my hand only. I'm lucky genetically there are good brows in my my family - nice
arch. I just have to clean up strays and I trim them. I read this makes them look thicker. the front (nearest my nose) goes up which I find aggravating but I
doubt many but me notice, then the rest go to the sides. I got stencils once and tried to shape the front differently...looked ridiculous and too much upkeep
...its actually been good with less time to obsess as a parent the ends are thickening up

Daena Cat I am just like you! I hardly have anything to work with and they're really long, but not dense at all! I get my waxed every couple weeks, and
pluck strays on my own. I have a lame natural shape and the brows I really really want, my waxer refuses to do. She (and everyone else I know) has warned me
of the too thin, too angled brow. I however, like the stern, mean look and I want my brows super thin, but pronounced in shape. She refuses. The salon
inside my building has a master-waxer trained Anastasia and she too refuses to do what I want, but she has offered to wax them for me. But she wants to leave
them "thick" (as thick as mine could be anyway.). It's so frustrating. I hate my brows. I pencil them in every morning but I'm afraid of
being too heavy handed so I end up with fuzzy looking brows. Ugh. So maddening.

I used to tweeze only, because I don't trust anyone. I like my brows with a fairly strong arch, yet on the thick side. People always want to make them too
thin.
Well, they opened up a new threading place in the mall that I work in and I've gone their twice. Best brows of my life! I am so happy with them! Threading gets all those little baby hairs that are virtually invisible, yet somehow make a big difference when they are gone. I'm def. a threading convert (used to wax, but stopped and then just tweezed for years). |

Never waxed, never will. Always tweezed myself. I also have, not sparse, but not thick brows. I pretty much just clean up the strays and my arch is already there for me. I have gotten a few compliments every now and then, but I chalk it up to my natural brow shape, not any expertise on my end. Attack said impending unibrow with tweezers or wax yourself or go pro, but for the love of all that is holy do NOT go anywhere near your eyebrows with a razor. I knew someone who did it in high school and I only have one word for it: yikes. -Erica |

My lady is like the Yoda of brows. I never thought I could have a shape or anything. When I was young, they grew like Bert brows, but then they got thinner on
the ends and grew upwards and wild. I had them waxed a few times, but they looked uneven. When I went to this girl for the first time, she was so precise,
measuring and making sure to get the perfect shape. I can't have a big arch, but she does manage to give me a little one.
She does a combo of waxing and tweezing. She waxes the big parts like the middle and top of the brow, and for the more intricate areas, tweezes.

One thing I found about the Anastasia counter was that as long as I filled in my brows I was OK (since they waxed based on the stencil). One day I was at the
beach and my friend said "your left eye looks really weird, like it's going to pop out" well, it was because my brows were waxed sooooo
differently. I don't wear makeup 24 hours a day. I also looked at some pictures and my brows were just too big.
My right eye brow is thinner than the left. The brow tinting has really helped. I don't use any brow pencil anymore.

Let me say this....My mother use to pluck her brows so much that the hair stopped growing back. She eventually had no brows left. It created a very freaky look
when she was bare faced. As a result, I will underplunk to avoid what happened to her.
