I like Persa-Gel.
I dab a bit on the affected area, and generally by the morning it's gone...or at least greatly diminished. --Cindy |

If you can get to Sally's or maybe even Walgreen's, Bye-Bye Blemish is very good for spots that have a chance of surfacing. I like PersaGel, but damn,
if you go overboard by just a little bit, all you wind up with are spots that have turned red and flaky. They do dry up, but it's an ugly process. I like
the Bye-Bye Blemish type potions because I think sulphur is easier on the skin and you can be very precise with that sort of product - it goes right on the
pimple.
I feel your pain, July! Don't do what I did and slather it everywhere. Weeks later my skin is still trying to recover.

I was told by a makeup artist to put Carmex on a pimple. She said it works like a miracle. I haven't tried it but I'm going to pick it up for sure.

Thanks everyone for the recs! One of the spots is in the center of my forehead like a 3rd eye. Totally unacceptable.

I grabbed the clean and clear one during a cvs run once. It works well but will really dry your skin out, as an FYI.

Persagel (max formula) + Benadryl ==> go to bed, wake up in the morning w/ less irritation (albeit a bit groggy
)

I second the tea tree oil. If I even feel like I am getting a pimple, I dab on TTO, full strength, and usually the pimple never even appears.

On me, the Bye Bye Blemish on me cracks and finally comes off while I am in bed. I can't get it to stay on.

Do a super thin layer, Loma. Don't get a glob of the sediment on your swab - just a touch of it. Then lightly dab it on. Even if it does flake, the
medication still absorbs into the zit.
July, another rec is Mario Badescu's silver powder if you can get some. It's mild enough to dry out the zits but doesn't leave a giant mess on your face. It's a powder you mix with water and apply. It can be messy, but I just use it over the sink.

IMO the best is the aspirin mask, just one, dissolved and applied on the spot. I love it as a mask but even more so as a spot treatment.

After using a toner with tee tree oil in it, I dab white toothpaste on it before bedtime (lovely look
). I also use neosporin cream on it for daytime.

I did this on my trip too!
Here's what I did- After washing my face, I dabbed the spot with some peroxide. Then put my zit stuff on it (BPO at night). Then put a dab of Neosporin on it and went to bed. Just don't pick like I did!

Thanks everyone...here's an update.
I went to the drugstore last night and they were renovating and all of the products were in boxes!! Classic. I dug through boxes and the only spot treatment I found was Neutrogena's Rapid Clear, which is 2% salicylic acid. I used that last night on the third eye and it's slightly bigger today. Ugh. And it hurts. I promise not to pick it. I will attempt to find Persa Gel tonight!
